Newguard Media
Abstract drawing of a teal circle above a grid receding into a dark field.

Your website, your marketing and your content, from one team.

Newguard Media builds the site, writes what goes on it, and brings the right people to it. One point of contact from the first call to the handover.

You own the code, the domain and every account. We hand all of it over at the end.

What can you hire us for?

Three lines of work: building the site, filling it with words and pictures, and bringing people to it. Hire us for one or for all three, with the scope in writing before anyone opens an editor.

Web development

Sites built by hand in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, or on a CMS your team can edit without calling us. No page builders, no theme to fight, no plugin stack nobody understands by year two.

  • Marketing sites and landing pages
  • Ecommerce builds
  • CMS setup and staff training
  • Accessibility and speed work

Marketing

Getting the right people to the site, then working out which of them turned into customers. Search, email and paid campaigns, reported in language you can repeat to your board.

  • Search and local listings
  • Email campaigns and automation
  • Paid search and paid social
  • Analytics setup and reporting

Content creation

The words, photographs and video that fill a site once it exists. We shoot and write for your business rather than pulling something close enough out of a stock library.

  • Site and landing page copy
  • Articles and case studies
  • Product and team photography
  • Short-form video and social

Who will work on your project?

The person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. Questions go straight to them and answers come back the same way, without a project manager translating in the middle.

How does a project run?

Four stages, in this order, every time. You know what happens next and what it costs before anything gets built, and you can stop the project at the end of any stage.

  1. 01

    Talk

You describe the business and the problem. We ask questions and take notes. No slide deck, no discovery workshop invoice.

  2. 02

    Plan

You get a written plan covering pages, features, dates and price. Nothing gets built until you have read it and said yes.

  3. 03

    Build

Design and build happen in the open on a link you can check any day. Redirect us early and it costs nothing.

  4. 04

    Hand over

Everything moves into your accounts. We walk your team through editing the site, then stay reachable for the questions that follow.

Our portfolio

Two live sites we built and still maintain, for Hughes Mechanical Consulting and Streamline Refrigeration. Most client work stays private until a business is happy to be named — ask by email and we will send further examples that match what you need.

Who you're hiring

Newguard Media is a small studio doing web development, marketing and content creation. We started it because businesses kept paying three suppliers who spent the budget explaining each other's work.

We work remotely and keep the client list short, so the same people stay on your project from the first call to the handover. If a job needs a skill we do not have, we say so and point you somewhere better.

More about the studio

Questions people ask before they hire us

The five or six things that come up on nearly every first call, answered here so you can skip them.

What does Newguard Media do?

Three things: web development, marketing and content creation. We build the site, write and shoot what goes on it, and run the search, email and paid work that brings people to it.

Can you take over a website someone else built?

Yes. We audit what exists, tell you what is worth keeping, and give you the choice between repairing the current site and rebuilding it. You get that in writing before any work starts.

Who owns the website and the accounts at the end?

You do. The code, the domain, the hosting, the analytics and the ad accounts all sit in your name. We hand over logins and walk your team through them at the end of the project.

Do you write the copy, or do we?

Either. Most clients hand us notes and interviews and we write from those. If you have a writer in house, we build to their copy and give them a page map to work from.

Do you work with businesses outside your city?

Yes. Newguard Media is a remote studio and takes clients wherever they are. Calls happen by video, files and logins move through shared accounts, and everything we agree goes in writing.

How do we start a project?

Send a message through the contact page or email sam@newguard.media with what your business does and what needs to happen. We reply with questions, then a written plan covering pages, features, dates and price.

Tell us what you're trying to build

Every project starts with a written plan you approve, and ends with every file and login in your name. Nothing gets built off a verbal yes.
