Privacy policy
One form, one inbox. This page says what we collect when you write to us, who else handles it, how long it sticks around and how to have it deleted.
Last updated 3 September 2026. Written for the site as it stands today, so if we ever add a tool that collects something new, this page changes first.
What does the contact form collect?
Five fields, and only two of them are required. We ask for a name and an email address because a reply needs somewhere to go and someone to address. Everything else is there to save you a round of questions, and you can leave it blank.
| Your name | Required. So a reply is addressed to a person rather than an inbox. |
|---|---|
| Email address | Required. The only place we send an answer. |
| Current website | Optional. Looking at what exists saves a round of questions. |
| What you need | Optional. A dropdown so we know which of the three services to read for. |
| Your message | Required. Whatever you write, including anything you add about your business. |
We never ask for a phone number
The form has no phone field, so the only way we end up with your number is you typing it into the message box. Same for an address, a budget or anything else you choose to share: we hold what you decided to send and nothing you did not.
One hidden field, and it is not about you
The form carries an empty anti-spam field that bots fill in and people do not. If it arrives with anything in it, the submission gets dropped. It collects no information about you and works without cookies or scripts.
What do we do with it, and who else sees it?
We read your message, reply to it, and use what you told us to write the plan. That is the whole purpose. Two companies handle the message on the way: our web host, which receives the form submission, and our email provider, which stores the thread we reply on.
What we never do with it
- Sell, rent or trade your details. There is no buyer, because we have never had anything to sell.
- Add you to a mailing list. No newsletter, no drip sequence, nothing to unsubscribe from.
- Hand your details to advertisers, data brokers or partner agencies.
- Use your enquiry to target you with ads here or anywhere else.
- Publish your name, your company or your message. Client work goes on the portfolio page only with permission.
If you are in Canada, the EU or the UK and want the formal wording: we handle your message because you asked us to answer it and because we have a plain business interest in replying to people who write to us. You can withdraw that at any time by asking us to delete the thread.
Does this site use cookies or analytics?
No. The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, which is why you have never seen a consent banner here. There is no analytics tag, no tracking pixel, no advertising script and no social embed on any page.
The one request that leaves the page
Our two typefaces load from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's servers for them and Google sees your IP address and browser version in that request. It is a font download, not a tracking script, and it is the only outside connection any page here makes.
Server logs
We run no logging of our own. Like every web host, ours keeps standard access records for security and troubleshooting, which include IP addresses and the pages requested. We do not read those to profile visitors and we do not connect them to anyone who fills in the form.
Links to other people's sites
The portfolio page links out to live client sites. Once you land on one, you are on their site under their privacy policy, and we have no visibility of what you do there.
How long do you keep my details?
While your enquiry is live, and for a limited time after. If a project does not go ahead, we delete the form entry and the email thread within 12 months of the last message. If it does go ahead, we keep the correspondence as the record of what was agreed until you ask us to remove it.
How do I have my details deleted?
Email sam@newguard.media and ask. Say "delete my details" and we remove the form entry and the email thread within 30 days, then confirm when it is done. You do not need an account, you do not have to explain why, and it costs nothing.
What else can I ask for?
The same address handles the rest of it. Privacy law in Canada, the EU, the UK and California gives you a short list of rights, and we answer these requests from anyone who asks, wherever you live.
- A copy of everything we hold about you
- A correction, if we got a detail wrong
- Deletion of your message and details
- An objection to how we are using any of it
If our answer does not satisfy you, the privacy regulator where you live will take a complaint about us, and asking us first is not a condition of that.
If this policy changes
Adding anything that collects data, such as analytics or a booking tool, means updating this page and the date at the top of it before that tool goes live. The date at the top is always the version that applies, and we can send you an earlier one if you ask.
Questions about your data
The short answers, for anyone who would rather not read the whole page.
Do you sell or share my details?
No. We have never sold, rented or traded contact details, and there is no advertiser, data broker or partner receiving them. The only companies that touch your message are the ones that carry it: our web host and our email provider.
Will I get marketing email if I use the form?
No. We reply to your message and that is the end of it. There is no newsletter, no drip sequence and no list to unsubscribe from, so the only email you get from us is a real answer written by a person.
Does this site set cookies or run analytics?
No. The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, and it carries no analytics, tracking pixels, advertising tags or social embeds. The one request that leaves our pages loads the two typefaces from Google Fonts.
How do I get my details deleted?
Email sam@newguard.media and ask us to delete your details. We remove the form entry and the email thread within 30 days and confirm when it is done. You do not need an account and you do not have to say why.
Do I have to use the form at all?
No. Email sam@newguard.media instead and you reach the same inbox. The form asks for a name and an email because a reply needs somewhere to go, and every other field on it is optional.
Anything here you want changed?
Privacy questions go to the same inbox as everything else, and a person answers them. Ask for a copy of your details, a correction or a deletion and none of it costs you anything.
